“The Weight of Things” will be filtering “hard truths“ from the matters of reality the government has presented to us and will translate these “truths“ with all senses. “Agitation against the rich” can manifest as a structural campaign against those made the precariat, the ostensible “fight against welfare fraud” can reveal itself as destructuring the welfare state towards Hartz IV. “New justice” can show its true colors as tax exemption for work-free, inherited income. By deconstructing the beautiful standards set and the programmed speeches, the substrate of resilient poetry and aesthetics shall evolve. *(Marianne Fritz)
